Previously called Santa Maria de Porto de Vide, the medieval village of Bogalhal Velho is located in the parish of Bogalhal, in the municipality of Pinhel.
This abandoned village is located in an extremely beautiful landscape, located on a hill overlooking the Ribeira das Cabras (which joins the Côa River in a nearby area) and the Serra da Marofa.
Of this village of medieval origin, only ruins remain of a building that is presumed to have been a church, having a great historical value.
Bogalhal Velho
Denominada anteriormente por Santa Maria de Porto de Vide, a aldeia medieval de Bogalhal Velho situa-se na freguesia do Bogalhal, no concelho de Pinhel.
Esta aldeia abandonada situa-se num quadro paisagístico extremamente belo, encontrando-se numa colina com vista para a Ribeira das Cabras (que perto se junta com o Rio Côa) e para a Serra da Marofa.
De origem medieval, só restam ruínas de um edifício que se presume ter sido uma igreja, tendo um grande valor histórico.
